Inquiring Minds Want to Know
Are you looking for effective ways to incorporate inquiry and student-designed experiments into your classroom, but aren’t quite sure where to start? In this session, we will share strategies we have found to be effective in teaching science and engineering practices (cognitive demands) and the literacy standards at all grade levels, specifically applied to force and motion.

Questions, Questioning and Orchestrated Classroom Dialogue
Participants will explore ways in which questions and questioning can enhance depth of inquiry into content and engage all students. Topics include creating deep, rigorous and open-ended questions and using questioning strategies and “talk moves” to direct classroom discussion.
